Refunds of excess financial aid
How will I receive my refund?
Refunds are made (by direct deposit or by a check mailed to your local address) to students who are registered, don't have holds on their accounts, and whose disbursed aid exceeds their MSU charges.
When will I receive my refund?
Refunds are distributed by the Student Accounts division of the Controller's Office beginning ten days prior to the start of a semester (or for summer semester, ten days prior to YOUR first class day). See the MSU academic calendar or the Schedule of Classes to look up the first day of class for each semester or summer session.

You may check your refund status in StuInfo. Also check eFinaid to be sure you've taken all necessary steps for your aid to disburse.
