MAD = Minimum Amount Due
This is the minimum amount you must pay by the date stated on your bill in order to become REGISTERED.
If you do not PAY YOUR MAD AND CONFIRM YOUR ATTENDANCE (even if your MAD is $0), you will be disenrolled from your classes, required to re‑enroll, and charged a late enrollment fee.
Financial Aid Calendar
2012
Beginning January 1
Complete the 2012-2013 version of the FAFSA for the aid year beginning fall semester 2012 and ending summer semester 2013.
January 1 to March 1
Notify the Office of Financial Aid (in StuInfo/eFinaid) if you will attend the summer semester 2012 and want to be considered for financial aid. You must also have filed the 2011-2012 FAFSA.
January 9
Spring semester 2012 classes begin. A late enrollment fee of $100 is assessed for students enrolling on or after this date.
February 1
2011-2012 Special Condition Application deadline.
First deferred spring semester 2012 payment due.
February 11
College Goal Sunday for high school students. Get help with your FAFSA and your other questions about college financial aid.
March 1
Second (last) deferred spring semester 2012 payment due.
Mid-March to April 1
If you correctly filed the 2012-2013 FAFSA, expect to receive your 2012-2013 financial aid award notice from MSU. If you are asked for any additional documentation, respond promptly.
Mid-April
Expect to receive your summer semester 2012 registration bill if you've already enrolled.
Early May
Summer semester 2012 MAD due.

Mid-May through Mid-August
Summer semester 2012 classes held.
Late July
Fall bills available in Stuinfo for most students.
New students: You won't receive your registration bill until you have completed academic orientation.
Mid August
Fall semester 2012 MAD due for most students.

August 29
Fall semester 2012 classes begin. A late enrollment fee of $100 is assessed for students enrolling on or after this date.
