Calendar of Financial Aid
2013 Calendar Year
Beginning January 1
Complete the 2013-2014 version of the FAFSA for the aid year beginning fall semester 2013 and ending summer semester 2014.
January 1 to March 1
Notify the Office of Financial Aid (in StuInfo) if you will attend the summer semester 2013 and want to be considered for financial aid. You must also have filed the 2012-2013 FAFSA.
January 7
Spring semester 2013 classes begin. A late enrollment fee of $100 is assessed for students enrolling on or after this date.
February 1
2012-2013 Special Condition Application deadline.
First deferred spring semester 2013 payment due.
February 10
College Goal Sunday for high school students. Get help with your FAFSA and your other questions about college financial aid.
March 1
Second (last) deferred spring semester 2013 payment due.
Mid-March to April 1
If you correctly filed the 2013-2014 FAFSA, expect to receive your 2013-2014 financial aid award notice from MSU. If you are asked for any additional documentation, respond promptly.
Mid-April
Expect to receive your summer semester 2013 registration bill if you've already enrolled.
Early May
Summer semester 2013 MAD due.

Mid-May through Mid-August
Summer semester 2013 classes held.
Late July
Fall bills available in Stuinfo for most students.
New students: You won't receive your registration bill until you have completed academic orientation.
Mid August
Fall semester 2013 MAD due for most students.

August 28
Fall semester 2013 classes begin. A late enrollment fee of $100 is assessed for students enrolling on or after this date.
October 1
First deferred fall semester 2013 payment due.
November 1
Second (last) deferred fall semester 2013 payment due.
Mid November
Spring semester 2013 registration bills will be available in StuInfo.

December 13
Last day of fall semester 2013 classes & exams.
